Jesus Said Love.

1 Cor 13--- If I could speak all the languages of earth and of angels, but didn’t love others, I would only be a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.
If I had the gift of prophecy, and if I understood all of God’s secret plans and possessed all knowledge, and if I had such faith that I could move mountains, but didn’t love others, I would be nothing.
If I gave everything I have to the poor and even sacrificed my body, I could boast about it; but if I didn’t love others, I would have gained nothing.
Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud
or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged.
It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out.
Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.
Prophecy and speaking in unknown languages and special knowledge will become useless. But love will last forever!
Now our knowledge is partial and incomplete, and even the gift of prophecy reveals only part of the whole picture!
But when the time of perfection comes, these partial things will become useless.
When I was a child, I spoke and thought and reasoned as a child. But when I grew up, I put away childish things.
Now we see things imperfectly, like puzzling reflections in a mirror, but then we will see everything with perfect clarity. All that I know now is partial and incomplete, but then I will know everything completely, just as God now knows me completely.

Three things will last forever—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love.

Everything you need to know about LOVE is right here. Tells you what it is and what it is not.  Clearly what happens if you do things and don't love.

LOVE- a spiritual gift. A gift from God.

Without Love, which is a major attribute of God, we are NOTHING. We can not profess to Love Jesus or Love God if we do not Love others. Love is unconditional. You can not claim to love someone if there are conditions attached to it. LOVE. Isn't love unless it is given freely.

Jesus spoke on Love often. He called it the greatest commandment (Matthew 22: 36+)

“Teacher, which is the most important commandment in the law of Moses?”
Jesus replied, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’This is the first and greatest commandment.  A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ The entire law and all the demands of the prophets are based on these two commandments.”

Love God and Love Others.

He did not say Love your fellow church member. Love your kids. Love your mom. Love your dog. He said LOVE OTHERS. ALL others. And before you say but.. that person is .. let's look at another verse that Jesus clearly said LOVE.
(Matthew 5: 43-44)
“You have heard the law that says, ‘Love your neighbor’ and hate your enemy.  But I say, love your enemies! Pray for those who persecute you!"
Love my enemy? Those that persecute me? Why? Why would I do that?
Because Jesus Said LOVE.
He said this was the greatest commandment. And if we profess to be FOLLOWERS of the Lord Jesus Christ we need to do as He says. As He literally.. I mean literally.. .Commanded.  Don't let the rebel in you buck this off.
He commanded us to Love.
 First God. Then everyone else.
Beloved. Brothers. Sisters. Friend's of Christ. Let's step up. Love fully. Love with reckless abandon. Love without fear.
 Love.

He gave us the faith to believe and the hope of a future and it is up to us to show others the Love of our Savior and give them the same Faith and Hope so they can in turn Go LOVE.

Matthew 25: 45
‘I tell you the truth, when you refused to help the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were refusing to help me.’
